Bethan
has been playing the harp since the age of ten and went on to
complete her degree course at The Royal Welsh College of Music
and Drama in Cardiff where she studied:
* The Concert Harp
* Triple and Celtic Harp
Through
many hours of practice and tuition she has gained an extensive
repertoire and is the only local harpist that sings and blends
the arrangements between: Modern, Classical, Soul, World Music
and Rhythm and Blues.
Bethan
continues to sing and play at many functions throughout the UK
and has also performed in many European countries as well as the
United States.
On
home ground her work has included playing at The Welsh Proms and
on many occasions she has played for:
* Members of the Royal Family
* Entertained Heads of State
* Members of Parliament and the Welsh Assembly
* European Delegates and World Congressmen
* Stars from film and television
* Award ceremonies and tribute dinners
* Sporting events
* Beauty launches
* Art & design exhibitions
* Weddings
She
is currently the only harp therapist in Wales, after gaining a
place on the 'International Harp Therapy Program', San Diego,
California (Sponsored by the British Women of the Year Foundation).
A
special highlight of her career was to be part of the official
opening of the only children’s hospice in Wales and to be
the first harpist ever to perform at the African Embassy in London.
