Joseph
Lee Jackson as...Freddie Mercury
With a diploma from Theatre School, Lee's talents in Drama and
Musical Theatre have taken him around the UK and Europe playing
leading roles in various productions. His TV work includes appearances
for Central, BBC and Yorkshire. A
professional singer from the age of sixteen Lee has recorded 'jingles'
for several radio stations. With his powerful vocal range and
his stunning visual interpretation of 'Freddie', Lee adds an extra
dimension to Mercury over other tribute shows.
Glenn Scrimshaw as....Brian May
A professional musician of outstanding quality, both in performance
and writing. Since
his band Limelight retired from live performance he has continued
to write and play for other performers, achieving success in Europe
and Japan, as well as session work for various musical stage productions.
Glenn has been a key figure in creating a music industry studies
course at a Nottingham College - a course well respected in the
music business and where he can call upon his experience and talents
as a producer. MERCURY is the perfect vehicle for his talents.
Pat
Coleman as...Roger Taylor
From the age of 15 Pat & Glenn have performed together in
various bands and were helped, and hindered, by numerous singers
and guitarists. Pat served his musical apprenticeship on the Northern
Club Circuit and later with a heavy touring schedule which took
him twice to Australia and tours of West Germany, France, Denmark,
Sweden and Norway. More
recently he worked with Jimmy James & the Vagabonds and one-off
shows with established acts of the 60's and 70's. Expert on percussion
and a voice to match
Lee Harvey as...Spike Edney
Lee began his career at an early age learning to play piano, violin
and guitar, with singing and dancing starting later. He has performed
as a soloist at the London Palladium, The Birmingham Symphony
Hall and has toured with the Lincolnshire Youth Orchestra in Spain
and France. With a BA (hons) degree in music, Lee's piano and
vocal skills help him to recreate the sounds of Queen.
Steve Humphreys as...John Deacon
Playing both bass and six string guitar from the age of 15, Steve
has been professional since leaving school. After touring with
a successful original band for many years, Steve then performed
in both Spain and the USA for 4 years. Steve's musical, vocal,
and organisational skills. combined with his flair for lighting
and stage design, make him a great asset to MERCURY.
